Therapeutic Music Evening
Musical Journeys for World Mental Health Day

On 10 October, World Mental Health Day, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EMTA) and Estonian Music Therapy Union, are hosting a therapeutic music evening aiming to raise awareness of the important role music plays in supporting mental well-being.
From afternoon to late evening, workshops and concerts will take place at EMTA, exploring different aspects of the therapeutic impact of music – from relaxation and emotional self-expression to supporting a sense of community and mental balance.
The event brings together professional musicians, music therapists, students, and the wider public, giving participants an opportunity to experience the effect of music firsthand and take part in a cultural programme promoting mental well-being and awareness. The Therapeutic Music Evening values a preventative approach to maintaining mental health and supports collaboration between the cultural and healthcare sectors.
The duration of the concerts is approximately 45–50 minutes.
